Should I see a doctor if my breast is more sensitive?
Spørsmål
Hei I have for now more or less a week a weird feeling in one of my breasts. It started suddenly, I was wondering if something was in my bra, but the breast was just very sensitive and I could also feel some kind of hard part in it. With the days it became a bit less, but it is still more sensitive than the other and there is also still some harder part. Should I go and see a doctor, or should this go away by itself, it just needs more time? Thanks for the answer
Changes in the breasts can occur in women of reproductive age due to hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle. These changes may include breast lumps, tenderness or pain, and increased nipple sensitivity. Such changes are completely normal and usually resolve on their own as the cycle progresses, often during menstruation or in the week following it.
Since you describe that your symptoms have only been present for one week, I would recommend monitoring them for now. If the changes do not resolve within 4 to 6 weeks, I would advise you to contact your doctor for an assessment and possible examination.
I hope this was helpful!
